After Imbolc, we were enjoying some social time on The Zoomies when a topic came up that got everyone very excited. I wish I remember who asked it, but they wanted to know people’s favorite Pagan cookbooks. As we tossed titles back and forth (which I did not have the foresight to write down), I proposed posting the question on the Church of the Earth Facebook page so we could share our finds, and then writing a newsletter article about it. And here is the result. Huzzah!

Jaime says, “This is the book I asked about at Imbolc. Not specifically pagan, but uses herbs, flowers, etc. in recipes to create specific moods or ambiance. I remember a quiche with lavender that would mellow you out so much you had to plan to basically do nothing after dinner.”

Dodde got this on her last browse through Quail Ridge Books. With recipes and spells for the self, home, garden, and Sabbats, this is a fun read that gives you all sorts of ideas to incorporate into everyday life.

Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Wicca in the Kitchen

Being a Pratchett fan myself, I say yes, yes it does. “It’s a very tongue-in-cheek thing written by one of my favorite Terry Pratchett characters and makes me laugh out loud several times on every page, but the recipes are real and actually pretty good!”
