foodbank logoAs the season rolls on, and the air becomes hot and muggy, we move our community outreach events to cooler venues.  On June 23rd Church of the Earth will be headed to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina on Capital Blvd in Raleigh. While there, our volunteers will be sorting through pallets of fresh produce in order to ensure that families in need will receive an opportunity to enjoy fresh food.  This is a task that is both spiritually satisfying and rewarding. Check out the NC Food Bank’s website www.foodbankcenc.org for more information on the wonderful programs they offer to our community.  Along with helping those in need, volunteers will be receiving a valuable lesson in teamwork, as well as creating and bolstering important relationships with other members of the community.

The sign up cap of eight volunteers has already been reached for this event, however there is the option to be put on the wait-list on Meetup. You may also contact our community outreach coordinator at George@cote-nc.org if you wish to be updated on future volunteer opportunities.
